Coy’s practice areas include general litigation, criminal defense, business formation, estate planning and landlord/tenant. He helps clients achieve beneficial and practical outcomes, whether in pre-trial negotiations, at trial, or on appeal.
Coy joined the firm in August of 2020. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law, where he had two concentrated areas of study: General Litigation and Constitutional Law. Participation in Moot Court and the Regional National Trial Team Competition earned him membership into the Order of the Barristers.
Coy has gained practical and valuable experience through his state and federal internships with the Honorable Travis O’Gorman in Nebraska’s Twelfth Judicial District and the Honorable Robert F. Rossiter in the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. He also clerked with the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office in the Civil Bureau and the Medicaid Fraud and Patient Abuse Unit and with the Custer County Attorney’s Office.
