Samantha’s practice consists of representing clients in the areas of criminal defense, civil litigation, estate planning, probate, and water and natural resources law.
Samantha joined the firm in 2023. Originally from South Dakota, Samantha received her Bachelor’s in Legal Studies from Chadron State College, summa cum laude, and received the highest graduating honor for a female student, the Platinum Eagle Award. She also interned for the United States Attorney’s Office in the District of South Dakota, which inspired her to attend law school.
In 2022, Samantha graduated from the University of South Dakota Knudson School of Law with Sterling Honors, a recognition only given to those in the top ten percent of the class. She also earned one of the highest distinctions, the Gavel Award, which the faculty awards to the most outstanding graduating student. While in law school, Samantha served as Editor in Chief of the South Dakota Law Review and was designated as student representative for the South Dakota State Bar Association’s Lawyers Assistance Committee. Additionally, she was South Dakota Supreme Court Justice Mark Salter’s judicial extern. After law school, Samantha clerked for the United States District Court in the District of South Dakota for Chief Judge Roberto A. Lange.
In her free time Samantha enjoys reading, cooking, and photography.
