The Jacobsen Orr Law Firm of Kearney, which has provided comprehensive professional legal services to Greater Nebraska for 45 years, is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Klingelhoefer has become a Shareholder of the firm.
Liz has been with the firm since January of 2016. She represents individuals and businesses across Greater Nebraska in a broad range of litigation matters, with a concentration on civil litigation and insurance defense. In addition to her courtroom advocacy, Liz is an exceptionally skilled researcher and writer who has initiated or defended over 20 cases on appeal.
Liz obtained dual Bachelor Degrees from the University of Nebraska–Kearney, with Honors, and her J.D. from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2015, with Sterling (highest) Honors. While in law school, Liz served as Editor-in-Chief of the South Dakota Law Review and was a Graduate Assistant in the areas of legal writing and tutoring. After law school, Liz served as a one-year federal clerk for the Honorable Roberto A. Lange of the United States District Court for the District of South Dakota in Pierre.
Liz is a Leadership Kearney Graduate (Class #27), current President of Kearney/Buffalo County Court-Appointed Special Advocates, and a member of the 2022-2023 Nebraska State Bar Association’s Leadership Academy Class. In the past, Liz has served as a UNK alumna mentor for the Gold Torch Society and Regional Coordinator for the Nebraska State Bar Association’s High School Mock Trial Competition. Liz is licensed in South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas. She lives in Amherst with her husband, Adam, and their two sons.
